The Process

Nominations are open to women in agribusiness across Africa from 6th to 13th June, 2021.

Candidates are welcome and encouraged to nominate themselves as well as other women in the industry.

Each candidate can only be nominated for a maximum of two categories. If subsequent nominations are received, only the first two will be considered for the shortlisting process.

Please read the criteria for each category carefully and provide as much evidence as possible for our judges. You will also have the opportunity to include the candidates social media information and related articles to support the submission.

All entries will be read and shortlisted by a team of independent assessors who will submit a list of nominees to a panel of judges.

The panel then meets to take into account any supporting evidence and assess each business to determine a shortlist of 5 finalists in each category which will be announced week commencing 21st June 2021.

The highest scoring finalist by the panel of judges in each category will be the winner. In all, there will be 5 change makers to receive the prestigious 2021 Women in Agribusiness Awards.

Results will be under lock and key until the awards ceremony on 30th June, 2021.
